Gastric ulcer

An ulcer consists of the erosion of the intestinal wall. An ulcer presents with burning, nausea, vomiting (acute), dyspepsia (chronic).

Main causes

  • Lack of acid in the stomach
  • Auto-immune cause
  • Stress
  • Aging
  • Drugs and toxins


  • Diet with foods rich in fiber, which reduce the presence of acids in the stomach and exert a repairing function of the gastric mucosa
  • Milk, which calms ulcer-related pain
  • Avoid excessive and large meals
  • Eat calmly, chewing food well
  • Avoid carbonated, very hot or very cold drinks, spicy and fried foods
  • Glutamine, for its repairing effect on the gastric mucosa
  • Foods rich in beta-carotene (precursors of vitamin A), which favors the protection of the gastric mucosa
